LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Law enforcement officers were delivering donuts and waving at customers to support the Special Olympics in Western Wisconsin.

It’s the eighth year officers have participated in the fundraiser that has raised more than $290,000 for the Special Olympics.

“This is a way for law enforcement to get involved in a community partnership to work with athletes for something that they have a passion for,” La Crosse Police Department Lieutenant Avrie Schott said.

Donut purchases also came with a free cup of coffee.
