Trempealeau Mountain Golf Club announces its closing

TREMPEALEAU, Wis. (WXOW) – The operators of the Trempealeau Mountain Golf Club said Monday they are closing their facility next month.

In a letter dated Monday, September 9, Eric Wilber said that he has decided to retire from the golf industry. The letter said that while they tried to find a buyer for the 18-hole course, they were unable to sell the facility.

Trempealeau Mountain was opened 22 years ago by the Wilber family, the letter said.

The course’s last day of operation is scheduled for Friday, October 25.

Wilber said that they will start to market the property, buildings, and fixtures starting October 1 unless a sale comes through before then.

He said they’re refunding any 2020 memberships.

The letter ended by thanking the community for their support.
