LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – La Crosse Center expansion designs are released by staff as they work towards construction.
The images show a new entrance hall looking east, exhibit hall, ballrooms, a new rooftop terrace facing Riverside Park and a view from meeting suites looking at the arena.
La Crosse Center Director Art Fahey said the staff is excited to see the photos as the project inches forward.
“We’ve been working on this for five-plus years,” Fahey said. “It’s starting to become tangible — what it’s going to look like — and this is something that this community is looking forward to. I think it’s going to be a great addition to the Downtown area and it’s something that we’re going to be proud of for the next 50 years.”
The $41 million project is reaching the end of the design phase.
Fahey said they are looking for the community’s opinion at an up-coming public input meeting. The meeting’s date is tentatively set for the first week in October, but they are gathering key designs and stakeholders before setting a final public input meeting date.
