Final pre-trial session for Erik Sackett

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Judge Elliot Levine ended Erik Sackett’s pre-trial sessions on Friday.

The 38-year-old Sackett is accused of killing 35-year-old former girlfriend Erin Somvilai in June of 2018.

Judge Levine, the La Crosse County District Attorney’s office and Sackett’s defense lawyer are currently going over the pool of potential jurors.

Jury selection October 21, with Sackett’s trial scheduled to start the following day.
