UPDATE: GREEN ALERT Canceled: Tomah veteran found

UPDATE: The Green Alert for missing veteran Jeremiah Koehler is canceled. He was found by authorities.

TOMAH, Wis. (WXOW) – A Green Alert is issued for a missing Tomah veteran seen earlier Tuesday.

The alert means that a veteran is missing and is considered at risk.

Baraboo Police said Jeremiah A. S. Koehler, 34, was last seen at Baraboo Motors in Baraboo at 2 p.m. He took a black 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4×4 Sport for a test drive and never returned. Although he lives in the Tomah area, it isn’t known where Koehler went after leaving the dealership.

The vehicle had Baraboo Motors Group (BMG) dealer tags on the front and back.

Police said he left his personal car and cell phone behind.

The former Marine veteran was diagnosed with PTSD.

Authorities also said he may be using illegal narcotics.

A statement from Baraboo Police said family members cautioned people when contacting Koehler as “he hasn’t been acting right lately”.

Koehler is described as a white male, 5’7″ and weighing 185 pounds. He is bald with hazel eyes. The sales staff at the dealership said he was wearing “Nice Clothing”.

If anyone sees the vehicle or Koehler, you are urged to contact either Baraboo Police at 608-355-4495 or local authorities.
