LA CROSSE, Wis (WXOW) – Planned Parenthood of Western Wisconsin, what was once Essential Health, served over 3,343 patients in 2018, and they’re looking to add to that with growing services.
Since they’ve taken over a few months ago, Planned Parenthood has already added quarterly contraceptive kits and telemedicine services.
President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Wisconsin, Tanya Atkinson, provided insight about additional service you might not know about.
“We provide cancer screenings, both breast, and cervical. That’s something a lot of people don’t know. We serve people of all genders, we serve men. So those are always things we like to repeat,” said Atkinson.
In the near future, they hope to add even more. Things like endometrial biopsies and polyp removal. All of this in addition to the full complement of reproductive healthcare services for women.
