Defending state title will be a challenge for Spring Grove

Spring Grove put itself on the map in 9-man football in Minnesota last season.

Now the Lions hope to roar loudly again this fall.

Spring Grove won their first ever state championship last season finishing the year undefeated.

That championship feeling has the team eager to repeat.

However, the Lions lost ten guys to graduation and have no incoming freshman this year so it may be more of a challenge.

" We’re going to take each day at a time, and each week at a time. But our expectations for these players are just to do the best they can each week and know if we are playing well by playoff time and we stay healthy that is going to be really key for us. With only 17 players on the roster, health is going to be a big issue for us," said head coach Zach Hauser.

High humidity levels subside soon!

Highs on Sunday will be much cooler in the upper 60 and low 70s. You will notice a huge difference in the moisture content when you wake up tomorrow as this cold front will bring much drier air to the region.
