Aquinas edges out Mel-Min to become Regional Champions

La Crosse, Wisc. (WXOW)- Aquinas and Mel-Min met in the state championships in basketball last season. Many of those same girls play on the volleyball teams, and on Saturday evening they met in the Regional finals.

Every set was close, but it was Aquinas who came in clutch in each set winning the overall match 3-0 and moving on in playoffs.

Lexi Donarski led with 18 kills, 3 aces, and 40 digs. Taylor Theusch had 40 assists. Megan Scheidt had 16 digs.

Aquinas will take on Regis in sectionals.
