La Crosse, Wis. (WXOW)  The Aquinas volleyball team is ready to test themselves against the states best again.
The Blugolds will make their second trip to the WIAA State Volleyball Tournament on Friday in Green Bay.

The last time they were at State was 2016.
They lost in the semifinals that year.
Only Lexi Donarski saw playing time in that tournament.
So it will be a new experience for the rest of the roster when they take the court against Waterloo Friday morning.

“In 2016 they were a very talented senior group that they had here. Not to take anything away from the underclassmen that were here that year too because they are a part of what we built today. Those kids were here. They’ve been in my gym for the last three years helping us build the program that we want to have,” said head coach Danielle George.
“I think all of us this year want to get it done. They fell short. So, we’re not working on going to the State Tournament but also winning one,” said senior Kayla Bahr.

Aquinas is the number three seed.
If they win, they’ll pay in the Division 3 championship Saturday at 11:30 AM.
