LA CROSSE. (WXOW) – Aquinas volleyball received a nice farewell on their way to State.

It’s just the second time in program history that Aquinas volleyball made it to state. On their way out the door and onto the bus, students wished them luck with high fives and loud cheers.

With the hope of bringing home a state title, this is a new challenge for the head coach, Nellie George. She has high hopes for the 3 seed Blugolds.

“At the end of the day, they’re athletic, they’re talented, they’re coachable and they’re really great kids to be around. I’ve really enjoyed being around them this season. They work hard, they listen and we have a ton of fun which is what it’s all about at this level,” head coach Nellie George said.

Aquinas will take on Waterloo tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
