Minnehaha Academy earns the tough win over La Crosse Central in a match-up of top-ranked teams

La Crosse, Wisc. (WXOW)- The best high school basketball talent from Wisconsin and Minnesota met at the La Crosse Center for an all day tournament on Saturday.

La Crosse Central and Minnehaha Academy headlined the Midwest Players Classic. The Red Raiders are ranked 2nd in the latest D2 Associated Press poll. They hosted the number one ranked Minnehaha Academy in Class 2A out of Minnesota.

In a tight match-up, Minnehaha Academy prevailed winning 59-55. For Minnehaha Academy, Jalen Suggs finished with18 points, Chet Holmgren with 17 points. As for Central, Johnny Davis had 21 points, Jordan Davis with 12 points.
