La Crosse, Wis. (WXOW)  The UW-La Crosse women’s soccer team will get to enjoy the comforts of home this weekend when they host the first two rounds of the NCAA Div. III Soccer Championships.
The Eagles host Wartburg Saturday afternoon.

This is the second straight season and third overall the soccer program has qualified for nationals.
They made it the quarterfinals last season.
After a sluggish start to the season, UW-L is now a 17-game unbeaten streak, having gone 16-0-1 during that stretch.
That also includes a school-record 14 straight wins.

“We played a couple game with eight or nine players ineligible due to injury.  Once we were able to get a full compliment of players back and really get into our routine and our training, we’re pretty happy with our results at the end of the year,” said head coach Jason Murphy.

“I think our play got better later in the season because we played such good teams at the beginning of the season. I think it kind of added up quicker then I even noticed all the sudden we were at 17 wins in a row.  So its pretty exciting,” said midfielder Margaret Harings.

The Eagles host Wartburg in a first round match Saturday at 1:30 PM at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex.
