West Salem shuts out Somerset, advances to sectionals

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WXOW) – The West Salem Panthers kept their winning streak alive in a playoff win over Somerset.

Sam Thompson got things started for the Panthers with a home run in the bottom of the first inning. She finished the game with 2 home runs.

Later in the first inning Jillian Wakefield got a base hit that brought in Kendall Gerke for the second score of the game.

In the bottom of the second inning the Panthers kept the runs coming with RBI double Taylor Feyen.

The Panthers went on to win 6-0.

West Salem plays La Crosse Logan in sectionals on Thursday, May 24.
