LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – G-E-T’s Davis Wenthe had a good Friday morning on the first day of the WIAA State Track Meet.

The junior finished first in his heat in the Division 2 110 m hurdles. It was the second fastest time of the morning.

He’ll compete in the finals later Friday afternoon.

Wenthe just missed a third place medal in the Division 2 High Jump. He was just edged out by New Berlin West who cleared 6-6 on his first try. Wenthe got it on his third attempt.
