Loggers sweep Huskies, move to first place in division

Duluth, Minn. (WXOW)- The La Crosse Loggers continued their two game away series in Duluth with the Huskies. In game one, the Loggers came back from an 8-2 deficit, scoring 8 runs in the 8th inning to defeat the Huskies 10-8.

In game two, the Loggers got off to a faster start. They scored five runs in the top of the 2nd inning.   The Huskies tightened the gap by scoring three runs in the bottom of the 6th inning making it 6-4. However the Loggers had the final say with a Kyson Donahue RBI triple sealing the win 8-5 for the series sweep.

Brady Allen led the way with 2 RBIs. Nick Eaton got the win pitching 5.2 innings allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs.

The Loggers improve to 7-7 and are now in a three way tie for first place in the Great Plains East.
