Forecasting for the blizzards, and cabin weather is something Alyssa is familiar with and is excited to get started.

Alyssa was born and raised in Minnesota, and lived near the Mississippi River. So she decided to follow the river south to find her new home, here in La Crosse. But just because she is on the other side of the river does not mean she will giving up the purple and gold, SKOL! She first traveled north and attended the University of North Dakota. Alyssa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences, and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and was a part many other organizations that kept her busy.

After college, Alyssa moved out of the Midwest to start her career working for a broadcast hub in Arkansas. This job widened her forecasting ability, by doing multiple shows a day as well as live cut-ins during Hurricanes in the summer of 2018 and tracking Nor’easters up the East Coast and forecasting the record heat in the south. She enjoyed her brief stay in the South, but was eager to be closer to home and start forecasting snow!

After working the early mornings, Alyssa owns a German Shepherd Phoebe who is just over a year old. Her time revolves around making sure Phoebe is happy. Alyssa also enjoys traveling, exploring and spending time with family and friends.

Catch Alyssa on the Daybreak from 4:30 am to 7 am and the Midday show at 11 am!
