Colder weather for Friday…

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Colder weather is moving in…
A weak disturbance generated light snow showers and flurries this afternoon, but area roads will be in good shape this evening.  As the flurries leave, clearing skies will lead to colder overnight lows in the single digits. A few folks will see near or below zero readings, so you’ll need extra layers of clothing tonight. You may want to take advantage of the warming tents at the Rotary Lights display in Riverside Park!

Friday is looking colder and dry…
High pressure is bringing colder weather out of Canada, and highs will struggle to reach the upper teens to lower 20s for the afternoon. A chilly mix of sun and clouds will add a little variety to the Friday forecast, but very dry air should keep any flurries at bay!

Quiet weather for the weekend…
We will continue to shiver with slightly below normal temperatures through Saturday and Sunday. Readings will rebound from morning lows in the single digits and teens, to afternoon highs in the middle to upper 20s. These are below normal for early December. Weekend travelers will have no problems getting around the region!

Looking forward to a warming trend next week…
We will start next week a bit on the cold side, but look for milder readings for the rest of the work week. Under sunny skies Monday we should reach into the upper 20s and lower 30s, but highs will warm up to the middle 30s for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The more comfortable weather may be accompanied by increasing snow chances, but It’s too early to tell if we will need our snow shovels.

Enjoy your evening! -Stormtracker 19 Chief Meteorologist Dan Breeden
