Beautiful Tuesday…
Plenty of sunshine meant great weather to get out for a long walk. Many folks were getting their yards prepped for the summer ahead. Highs were in the 60s for the afternoon and winds were lighter from the north.

Middle of the week storm system…
A strong storm system will move into the middle of the country tomorrow. Starting late tonight rain chances will increase. Occasional showers and t-storms are likely on Wednesday. There is a slight chance of afternoon and evening severe storms with a threat of gusty winds and large hail.

Beyond the storm…
Rain could linger into Thursday, but a beautiful stretch of weather will follow. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will feature sunny skies and highs mainly in the 60s.

Flood warnings remain in effect…
River Flood Warnings are in effect until further notice for locations along the main stem of the Mississippi River. Minor to moderate flooding is occurring. There is also a Flood Warning for the Trempealeau River at Dodge and for the Black River at Black River Falls for minor flooding.

The Mississippi River forecast…
The river stage at La Crosse is currently in minor flood at around 12.7 feet. The river will fall to around 12.5 feet.
