Wet Wednesday weather…
Occasional showers and t-storms moved through on Wednesday, and more will develop through the evening. Highs in the afternoon were cooler thanks to the clouds and rain, though lower 60s occurred south of La Crosse.

Stormy evening…
A strong low pressure system is moving through tonight. Showers and t-storms will continue this evening. A few could be heavy, and may produce hail and gusty winds. Stay tuned to News 19 for updates as needed.

Beyond the storm…
There is a slight chance of showers Thursday afternoon, but amounts will be light. More importantly, strong northwest winds will bring cooler air. Afternoon highs will retreat to the 40s and lower 50s.

Pleasant weekend expected…
Friday, Saturday and Sunday will bring sunny weather and warmer afternoon highs. High temperatures will reach the warmer than normal 60s.

Flood warnings remain in effect…
River Flood Warnings are in effect until further notice for locations along the main stem of the Mississippi River. Minor to moderate flooding is occurring. There is also a Flood Warning for the Trempealeau River at Dodge and for the Black River at Black River Falls for minor flooding.

The Mississippi River forecast…
The river stage at La Crosse is currently in minor flood at around 12.4 feet. The river will rise to over 13 feet by the end of the weekend. That means a second time at moderate flooding.
