Sunny skies dominated the end of the work week allowing afternoon highs to reach into the upper 50s to middle 60s. It was a great day for a nice walk in the neighborhood!

Today and Easter Sunday will bring quiet and dry weather. Sunny skies will transition to partly sunny skies for the holiday. Afternoon highs will warm into the 60s and 70s around the area. Do you have an Easter egg hunt planned?

A pretty weak area of low pressure will drift across the area Sunday night through Monday night. You’ll need an umbrella from time to time as showers move through the region. Highs will retreat back into the 60s.

Flood warnings remain in effect…
River Flood Warnings are in effect until further notice for locations along the main stem of the Mississippi River. Minor to moderate flooding is occurring. There are also Flood Warnings for the Trempealeau River at Dodge and for the Black River at Black River Falls and Galesville. Minor to Moderate flooding is expected.

The Mississippi River forecast…
The river stage at La Crosse is currently in minor flood at around 12.7 feet. The river will rise to over 14 feet by the end of the weekend, and remain there through the work week.
