Occasional showers have fallen today, and it’s kept temperatures in the very chilly 40s for the afternoon. Normal highs are in the middle 60s.

Rain continues overnight…
A weak low pressure area will generate light to moderate rain showers tonight and into tomorrow morning. Up to a quarter of an inch will fall, so river flooding should not be impacted. A dry afternoon will include plenty of clouds and highs in the lower 50s.

Weak system for Thursday…
Another batch of light rain is possible for later Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Once again only light isolated showers will occur. Highs will begin a warming trend Thursday afternoon.

Sunny skies will develop for Friday and Saturday, so highs will return into the 60s on Friday. We may even reach 70 degrees on Saturday. Dry weather takes over until we see a slight chance of rain on Sunday.

River Flood Warnings are in effect until further notice for locations along the main stem of the Mississippi River. Minor to moderate flooding is occurring.

The river stage at La Crosse is currently in moderate flood at around 13.4 feet. The river will drop to around 12.0 on Monday.
