Very warm weather on Wednesday…
High pressure meant a pleasant summer Wednesday in the area. Temperatures in the afternoon reached the low to mid 80s. Since dew points remained in the mid 50s it was quite comfortable.

Strong storms Thursday?
Our next weather disturbance moves into the region Thursday. The potential for strong to severe storms is there for the afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has most of the Coulee region under a “Slight Risk” for severe storms that could produce large hail and damaging winds.

Severe Weather Outlook for Thursday

Humidity levels skyrocket…
Moisture moving in from the south will allow humidity levels to climb starting tonight. Dew points in the 70s for the next few days will feel oppressive. Stay hydrated and slow down.

Higher humidity will mean chances of t-storms

Temperatures trending upward…
As the week progresses, temperatures will gradually trend upwards through the weekend. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the low 90s this weekend. Paired with humid conditions, we could see our “feels like temperatures” nearing the triple digits.

Multiple waves of energy will bring us the potential for scattered thunderstorms starting Sunday night. The active pattern continues through the middle of the week.
