Humidity surges and it’s here to last

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day. Today will start off similar but the dew points are on the climb. Feels like temperatures by this afternoon will be into the 90s as high temperatures reach the upper 80s. Remember to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and listen to your body, especially if you plan to enjoy the abundance of sunshine.

Looking for the warm moist air to move into the region tonight

Upper Air…

Why is the heat wave occurring? Well, through the next week we will be under an upper level ridging system. It will allow for warm southerly winds to move north. But in the lower air a west to east flow will occur at times to bring for chances for isolated showers.

Line of thunderstorms is possible tonight, should be a quick system

Isolated Showers…

There will be several slight chances for showers through the next few days, including tonight. This chance will come with a frontal system this evening into the overnight. If thunderstorms do form they could become strong, so stay aware.

Heat Ramps Up…

Tomorrow will be warm but not as humid as today, but the humidity does not leave just yet. Sunday into the next week heat indices will be in the 90s and near the triple digits.

Country Boom
Two more days of Country Boom left and we are watching for isolated showers but a hot few days ahead
