Highs in the afternoon reached the upper 80s and low 90s. It is just the beginning of the heat… A few showers and isolated t-storms developed to the north and west of La Crosse but were very short lived. Clouds stuck around for the afternoon and evening.
Hot temperatures and high humidity levels will aid in the development of a few isolated thunderstorms on Saturday. We will see partly cloudy skies otherwise. Temperatures on Saturday will be the “coolest” of the week, topping out in the upper 80s. Highs gradually climb to the low 90s for Sunday.
It is definitely summer…
Our “feels like” temperatures this week will be flirting with the triple digits. Dangerous heat and humidity will require limited time outdoors and plenty of fluids. Make sure you know the signs of heat related illness. Indoor plans in the AC are highly recommended!
Isolated storm chances…
We have multiple chances for showers and t-storms during the next 7 days. Abundant moisture and high temperatures are two main ingredients for isolated t-storms. Do not expect a washout, just a few passing storms especially midweek.
Have a great weekend,
