COLD Start to Friday…Warmer Saturday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

It’s cold out there…
Wow…morning temperatures on Friday were quite chilly. Most of us saw single digits or low teens out there, but not Black River Falls, as they saw -8 degrees (Coldest morning low in the contiguous US). Good news, temperatures Friday afternoon will warm a bit, but it will still be well below average. Expect highs in the low 30s with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Gradual warming trend…
Saturday looks to be our warmest day of the week. Temperatures at kickoff (11:30 a.m.) for the UW-La Crosse vs. UW-Eau Claire will be in the upper 30s. Highs still below average, however, with temperatures climbing to the low 40s. We should be in the upper 40s this time of year. We have a slight chance for a few passing showers late tomorrow afternoon/evening mixing with a few snowflakes.

Possible flurries to end the weekend…
We have a little shortwave disturbance that brings us a chance for a few flurries on Sunday evening, especially I-90 and south. Accumulations look to be minor as of now, but our temperatures should be cold enough for any snow we do see to stick.

Really cold next week…
We have another good chance for a strong shot of cold air to start next week…Temperatures for highs only in the low 20s again. Morning lows look to be in or near the single digits Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Someone tell Mother Nature that it’s November, not January!

Have a great weekend!
