Local D-1 athletes find success at the State Track meet

La Crosse, Wisc. (WXOW)- After what seemed to be a bitterly cold spring…Things warming up today significantly.

Onalaska Landon Peterson burning up the track.
Peterson took 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.95 seconds.
Holmen’s Tyler Rodriguez also qualified for the finals in that same race.
Then Peterson followed that up by winning his heat in the 300 hurdles with a time of 38.71 seconds.
Peterson will have a busy day tomorrow.

The Central relays had a good night tonight,
The 4 by 200 relay teams of Bryant, Cross, Schraith and Jamar Davis on the anchor leg wins their heat in a time of 1-minute, 28.25 seconds.

Later, the Central 4 by 100 relay took center stage.
The team of Bocook, Cross, Schraith and Jamar Davis again on the anchor…
Davis took the baton in 3rd and takes off to lead Central to the win in their heat in a time of 42.17 seconds.
Both relays will compete in tomorrow’s finals.

Holmen’s Ben Labuzetta will be a busy man tomorrow.
Labuzetta took 2nd in his heat of the 200 meters with a time of 21.74 seconds.
He also qualified for the finals in the 100 meters.
